Xianzi Lake Tourist Resort is in Xinmin City, Shenyang, Liaoning Province and 45 kilometers from downtown Shenyang. On the basis of the existing 6,000 mu of wild lotuses with a history of 100 years, it has, with modern technology, improved and introduced lotus varieties. Now the lake has turned into Xianzi Lake Scenery with a 10,000-mu water area and the most complete lotus varieties, with its continuous lotus area being the largest in China. Fei Xiaotong, former vice chairman of the National People’s Congress, wrote an inscription himself for the lake –“Land of Lotuses in China”.
